Hi I am Vicki the human half of Vicki & Louie Guided Walks.
I live in the Lake District and I'm an experienced adventurer in the outdoors, with over ten years of experience, the Lakes are my specialist subject. I am a qualified Mountain Leader, I also hold a number of other qualifications and skills centred on outdoor education. I am passionate about sharing the outdoors and helping to make it accessible for all.
I started Vicki & Louie Guided Walks to help introduce more people to the great outdoors, to share my expertise but also my excitement at the wonderful places there are out there. I know that sometimes having someone to guide you and lead you to the right places, can make an experience of the great outdoors that much more accessible. I am here to create bespoke days to suit personal needs. I can create and tailor an enjoyable day for all ability levels, either adding to existing experiences or building confidence to make the leap and get out in the wild with me as a spring board for future adventures.
Introducing the other half of the duo, this is Louie, he is a 20 month old, working, Cocker Spaniel with a nose for a good watering hole. He absolutely thrives when exploring the hills but most of all he loves to check up on those he is guiding with a cheeky cuddle. Louie is great with young children, obedient and good with other dogs.
Vicki & Louie Guided Walks are ideal for families, children, dogs and groups. Bespoke days out can be organised to meet your needs. Ranging from valley strolls to tackling some of the larger summits of the Lake District and The Howgills. All you have to do is ask.
Group Walks
Once a month we hold a group walk, dates and locations for this are released on our facebook business page so please click here. These walks are a great way of meeting like minded people and have been useful for many in finding other people to explore with. Plus they come with a slice of cake.

I offer 1:1 days out, creating a day to suit you, whether building confidence, checking your fitness or to tick off wainwrights. I would love to be able to spend the day helping you achieve it.

Navigation
Introduction to navigation
Are you wanting to become more self-reliant in the mountains? Take your family on days out adventuring but want to check on your ability? Or even refresh skills you haven't used for a while? I can offer introduction to navigation days individually or in small Groups.

Independent Groups
I have over ten years of experience working in the outdoors and particularly working with children and groups of adults. I can design a day to keep children engaged or adults entertained whilst out on the hills. Just call to chat about what I can offer for a great family day out.

Guided open water swimming and coaching
In the company of a Open water swim coach and Mountain Leader you can enjoy two of the best activities our wild places have to offer. Resurface from crystal clear water amongst the dramatic landscape of the lake district and the Howgills.
Swim under waterfalls, gently flowing rivers or in glorious tarns.
Complete beginner or experienced swimmer there is something for everyone.
